Trabajé muchos años los oficios vinculados al trabajo artesanal con la madera, pasando por las substancias orgánicas usadas en los procesos hasta llegar al árbol mismo y al modo en que las tecnologías influyen nuestra relación con la naturaleza. Contar con la llave de la vida (DNA) nos pone en la situación de dejar de pensar la naturaleza como un “otro” y comprender que como seres humanos estamos atravesados por las mismas leyes de la vida. Busco encontrar nuevas pistas en ese camino a través de esta residencia, extendiendo la experiencia obtenida en los workshops de Ellen Jorgensen y Suzanne Anker en el Bio Art Lab de SVA

esa substancia que usualmente, es solo un paso para acceder al código. Mi objetivo es señalar esa materialidad para poner de manifiesto los procedimientos de abstracción que ocurren en la traducción de lenguajes entre el objeto de estudio y la ciencia. Otro punto de interes es la comparación del codigo entre las muestras e investigar sus puntos en común y sus diferencias.

I worked many years in the craftwork with wood, going through the organic substances used in the processes until I reach back to the escense of the tree and the way in which technologies influence our relationship with nature. Having the key of life (DNA) puts us in the situation to stop thinking about the nature as an "other" and understand that as human beings we are crossed by the same laws of life. I ́m looking for new clues in that direction in this residence, extending the experience gained in the workshops of Ellen Jorgensen and Suzanne Anker in the Bio Art Lab of SVA last summer.

I am interested in working my DNA in parallel with the DNA of the trees. Obtain DNA through different methods in order to preserve the substance that is usually only a step to access the code. My goal is to point out that materiality in order to highlight the abstraction procedures that occur in the translation of languages between the object of study and science. Another point of interest is the comparison of the code between the samples and investigate their commonalities and differences.
